Just to make it clear.

First of all grats to all for the hard work and loot. Progressing in Naxx and Obsidian Sanctum cleared. We're going places.

Anyway, It's been brought to my attention that many feel left out that they cannot get into the raids that have been set up on the fly. This is what's going on:

-Our first naxx group consists of people who have been on the most consistent times and have been reliable. No bias is being put on anyone, we've just gone with this group and kinda just stuck with the group we went in initially.
-As we have that place on farm, we'll disperse out a bit and start more groups. Be patient. Remember, we all did not level together, we all had to do it on our time so there's a level/gear disparity between people. We want to bring the group we're comfortable with to get it down, then bring more people/groups in. Keep that in mind.

First thing to do is get geared in heroics at 80, then work on enchants, then think about raiding.

Remember, we were so used to be a heavy-25 man raiding guild. It's hard to transition into separate 10-man groups when everyone is leveling at a different pace. We barely have enough healers to bring into one 10 man so we're taxed as it is. So keep at it. Once we reach that point and past that gear wall, we'll hit the 25 mans.

Keep up the good work all.

Keepers Anniversary
12/16/2008 04:09 PM by Karneigh.

So it's been one year since the Keepers have been formed. We have all seen our share of ups and downs. We have all seen people come and go. But what remains is our dedication to our small gaming family that we have fought so hard to keep together.

There's been PMS (boys get this disease too, I have witnessed it!), there's been lootwhores, there's been ebayers (Dark), there's been Qweens and Hookers, we have Skorned. From eyecandy to sexy locks, too many mooses and bonzes, from Jorass to mine as Harrier as it gets. We have offended some and then there's just JAIKS who offends all. But no matter what, we all stick together and work things out, that's why I love this guild and I am proud to be here. (I still liked the pink pussy tabard better, tho).

So, as I end this sappy little post, Flwr made me write (lol), Thank you Mancer and Flwr for Keeping the Keepers together!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US!

Calling In Sick

Calling in sick to work makes me uncomfortable. No matter how legitimate my illness, I always sense my boss thinks I am lying.

On one occasion, I had a valid reason, but lied anyway because the truth was too humiliating. I simply mentioned that I had sustained a head injury and I hoped I would feel up to coming in the next day. By then, I could think up a doozy to explain the bandage on my crown.

The accident occurred mainly because I conceded to my wife's wishes to adopt a cute little kitty. Initially the new acquisition was no problem, but one morning I was taking my shower after breakfast when I heard my wife, Deb, call out to me from the kitchen. "Ed! the garbage disposal is dead. Come reset it." You know where the button is." I protested through the shower (pitter- patter). "Reset it yourself!"

"I am scared!" She pleaded. "What if it starts going and sucks me in?" (Pause) "C'mon, it'll only take a second."

So out I came, dripping wet and buck naked, hoping to make a statement about how her cowardly behavior was not without consequence.

I crouched down and stuck my head under the sink to find the button. It is the last action I remember performing. It struck without warning, without respect to my circumstances. Nay, it wasn't a hexed disposal drawing me into its gnashing metal teeth.

It was our new kitty, clawing playfully at the dangling objects she spied between my legs. She had been poised around the corner and stalked me as I took the bait under the sink.

At precisely the second I was most vulnerable, she leapt at the toys I unwittingly offered and snagged them with her needle-like claws.

Now when men feel pain or even sense danger anywhere close to their masculine region, they lose all rational thought to control orderly bodily movements. Instinctively, their nerves compel the body to contort inwardly, while rising upwardly at a violent rate of speed. Not even a well trained monk could calmly stand with his groin supporting the full weight of a kitten and rectify the situation in a step-by-step manner.

Wild animals are sometimes faced with a "fight or flight" syndrome. Men, in this predicament, choose only the "flight" option.

Fleeing straight up, I knew at that moment how a cat feels when it is alarmed. It was a dismal irony. But, whereas cats seek great heights to escape, I never made it that far. The sink and cabinet bluntly impeded my ascent; the impact knocked me out cold.

When I awoke, my wife and the paramedics stood over me. Having been fully briefed by my wife, the paramedics snorted as they tried to conduct their work while suppressing their hysterical laughter.

At the office, colleagues tried to coax an explanation out of me. I kept silent, claiming it was too painful to talk. "What's the matter, cat got your tongue?"

If they had only known.

Food for thought
11/28/2008 02:09 AM by Karamo.

First of all hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving as I am on the road trying to pick up some Black Friday scores. I just need to say a few things.

-10 man raids will start soon, we have enough tanks (but need moar healers) and enough DPS to start one. I was in Naxx a couple nights ago and it was really, really fun. We need to get in there ASAP. Healers, plz try and lvl as fast as you can and others PLEASE help our main healers level as well (no one wants to level as resto, obviously). As we get more and more, I will be leveling my tank and healer as well to help out with the later progression.

-Everyone needs to understand this: we're all leveling at a different rate. Many of you have jobs in real life and some of us are fortunate enough to play at work (ok maybe just me). If you need to run an instance and can't fill with guildies, don't be discouraged and fill it with whoever you can. We have people who are now just getting into the expansion and those who are already 80 (I believe we have about 12 or so at this moment in time). Don't lose your cool. Everyone's gonna get to 80 soon enough. Roughly, it took me 80 hours of playtime to get from 70-80. Do what you can, when you can.

-If you ever need anything crafted/cut/enchanted, PLEASE ask in guild first. We need to do the best we can to get our main professions skill ups and new patterns. The more we help each other get skilled, the more options we have for gear and stuff. (NOTE: Send all your spare Frostweave to Karneigh so she can make us Frostweave Manthongs. WOOT!)

-I might be off for a couple days pending what madness occurs on Black Friday and how long I plan on being a beach bum on Saturday. Must try and do some RL things for once.

-Skornie is to be sacked publicly on Sunday at 7PM server. All guildies log onto their mains and head to Dalaran in front of Violet Hold and bear witness to a scene similar to Wallace yelling "FREEDOM!" in Braveheart. Or not.

-Darrk is denying his sexuality and Whukar is a butt pirate.

-Keep up the good work guys we'll be raiding soon! WOOT!
