Prince Falls to Kotb
|
| Prince gave it up to us this monday evening. He tried to hold out, but the kotb crew was just to much for him. We had 2 pugs with us, Kilgourn, and Kyth, if you see them in game, thank them for their hard work. The loot drops were nice with Tremant garnering his T4 Helm, and the Gorehowl Axe, with a nice necklace going out to Finliath. We used the door strategy, and it seemed to work quite well. Congrats to Tremant and Darkshadow, and Congrats to Kotb on our first downing of Prince :D |

Group Synergy
|
Thought I should put this out on the news side of the site as the forums are not getting alot of people reading them.
Concerning groups 1 and 2..these groups are interchangeable, anyone that is lvl 70, is keyed for kara, and shows a good grasp of their class, is allowed to sign up. Sign ups are taken first on a first come first serve basis, second on group composition. Contrary to what has been posted in the past, these groups are not permanent. Personally I think its important that everyone gets the opportunity to play with everyone else. It will come into play when we begin doing 25 man content in earnest.
With Roz out of town the first part of the week, its up to others to step up and take the lead in group one. Many of you are more than capable of running a raid..especially with the people that are raiding now. Most of our raiding members know the fights in karazhan, and will probably require little in explanation of fights, and pulls.
I want to reiterate, its important that you sign up early, and hopefully often.
None of us are in this game for the short term, and some basic facts remain to be understood. One, we will be raiding karazhan in one form or another for awhile, its a necessary instance to gear people up for SSC, Gruul, Magtheridon, and TK instances. So, if you don't get in one week, don't become discouraged, we want everyone in purples, and our guild is a good one for people showing up to help others. I commend the entire guild on this great attitude. It will stand us in good stead when we begin the harder content in earnest.
If there are people within the guild that have questions, or have issues with the things within the guild, please approach myself, or Roz. Lets continue to support one another in anyway we can. We are forging ahead.
Keepers of the Balance is fast becoming a very strong casual raiding guild. That is probably something I should go over here as well. The difference between a casual raiding guild, and a progression based guild.
Casual raiding, means just that, no players are REQUIRED to raid, if you miss a raid, it is not held against you.
In a progression based guild, this is not the case, in that style of guild, if you miss a raid, chances are you'll lose your raiding spot. In those guilds, raiding spots are earned in various ways, but almost all spots are given to people based on ability, talent, spec and attendance first, then to those that contribute to the guild bank and so on. In many of those progression based guilds, you are given one or two chances to rectify mistakes you may make during encounters, if you don't rectify it, then chances are you'll lose your spot in the raid. The progression based guilds also raid a good deal more than 2 -4 nights a week..usually its a minimum of 4..and many times its 6 nights a week.
Casual guilds are much more lenient on attendance, and talent, spec and so forth. In our guild, we are casual raiding, if you can't make a raid on a particular night, we understand, and don't hold it against you. Again, sign up, first come first serve, atm, there is no such thing as a held raiding spot in any of our raids.
I would like to also make mention, that, everyone should learn as much about their class as they can, I've posted many links to the different classes for the elitist jerks website. This website is fantastic for learning about your class, and using it to its fullest ability. If your unsure of anything in your class, how to spec, how to equip, what spell/melee rotations to use for best dps vs mana/rage/energy consumption, talk with someone who's been playing that class for awhile. They can give you tips on how to make your toon do things you may not have been aware it could do.
Well, thats all the news I have for the moment, Good luck to all this week in Karazhan, and remember to keep your eyes peeled for more good people to bring in to our family :)

Guild Leader Gone....for a while
|
I know Flwr has mentioned this to most of you lately but I have out of town work coming up soon and will be away from game during the week starting this coming Monday.. gonna be workin 4- 10's out of town and at the moment have no way to get internet access at night unless some of the few we had to put in a hotel room let me plug in there from time to time. I think the work trailler is gonna be hooked up and maybe i can stay late on tuesdays in there not sure yet.. Essentially will be leaving sunday nights and staying out o town til Thursday night get off at 5 with a 2 hour drive back home once i am off. so i can make thursdays just not monday at the moment. Leadership of G1 Needs to be Taken up by the tanks and the senior members of the guild in G1. Tanks keep the raid moving Officers make sure all know what to do and it should go smoothly. I will try to get some sort of net acess for raiding if i have to barge into one of the motel rooms we had to get but otherwise i am suppossed to be in some camper traillers we set up close to the job.. the motels are still 20 min from the job site and me being managment they want me close. yay me!
I have complete Faith that the guild will keep moving forward even without me around for a bit.. job is suppossed to be about 6 months long but i have been informed i dont have to be down there the whole time now as was originally planned. Probably just the first month or 2 make sure its going right and keeping the men lined out safety wise..which can be a real headache when they all act like children |

Group 2 Downs Nightbane
|
Group 2 had a very successful night tonite in Karazhan, downing all bosses thru curator, and then taking a shot and downing Nightbane. took 3 attempts, but he finally succumbed to Kotb's mightyness! in reality..We pawned him :) On to Shade and the rest of the karazhan cohorts on friday. Grats to all those that got loot. Grats to all on the excellent group synergy. Lets keep going, kill Karazhan, get it on farm..then start harrassing Gruul, and Magtheridon. SSC is not far off people! :)

G1 downs aran and other news.
|
Aran Went down smoothly the interupts were on point and the healing was excellent with DPS pulling us through. Although aran took 2 tries before we owned his face. we still were doing good on the first attempts just had some bad luck with me starting the first attempt being a noob and sittin to close. Prince to 54% on first attempt ever on him is Damn good though so Kudos for the 1 attempt for a taste. IF it hadnt been so late we probably could have tried agan but to many had to get to bed and we werent there yet to take him out but just to let everyone get thier feet wet on him.
I know the guild is growing quickly as of late. I intend for it to keep doing so. We are pretty full on Tanks and Hunters for raiding but that doesnt mean they are completely barred from being recruited..simply means we can be picky about new additions of these classes.. as in friends are good but people we dont know need to fill out an app. Healers are still a big deal Shammies Priests and Paladins are still needed We have enough to do what we want at moment but More would help a ton cause we always know sometimes people just arent there for impromtu stuff.
Healers are always in demand one way or another and we do still have some up and coming healers. We need to ensure we are helping the healers get what they need to be able to heal raids
Helping each other is a big thing I hope to see a continuation of the people offering to help when the need arises. But in that same regard if very few people are on And they are spread out dont be offended if no one is able to help cause they are mid quest and such. Everyone knows Raid repairs are a total drag some nights. and questing is the only way for some to refill the ol' coffers.
Both G1 and G2 are moving along nicely and i am very pleased with the progress of both groups
Til then
Roz
